The SJV Conservation Implementation Plan uses the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation. This approach combines biological conservation priorities currently in the SJV Bird Conservation Plan with the human dimensions of conservation. This allows us to better understand the important ways in which we must work with people to conserve birds and habitats in the region. The Open Standards provides a systematic approach to planning, implementing, and monitoring our conservation efforts that allows us to better understand what is working and what needs to be adjusted along the way. Download our fact sheets that provide highlights and the overarching conservation priorities and strategies of the Sonoran Joint Venture’s four sub-regions through 2025.
