Tiffany Shepherd is the Wildlife Program Lead for the Bureau of Land Management’s Arizona State Office. She is an Arizona native, received a BS in Conservation Biology from Arizona State University and an MS in Evolutionary Ecology from San Diego State University, where she studied population genetics of the Summer Tanager. Tiffany spent the first 18 years of her career working for the Department of Defense managing endangered species and wildlife habitats on Naval Base Coronado and the Barry M. Goldwater Range East. She served on the DoD Partners in Flight Steering Committee from 2005 through 2022 and looks forward to continuing to contribute to avian conservation as a SJV management board member. For Tiffany, it is an honor to work in support of the immense biodiversity found within the SJV region. Her favorite bird habitat within the region is a tie between desert riparian woodlands and coastal dunes.
